What the Calamari Rings is for
The Calamari Rings is a tier 16 food. Food does not change how far you throw – that is Throw Power – but it decides how lucky the roll is once an animal arrives. I use the Calamari Rings for Phantom Harbor, which needs about 4,900 – 6,500 Throw Power.
It shares tier 16 with Ghost Strudel, Ghost Chowder, Phantom Lobster. When the next tier is close, skip same-tier foods and save for it.

You can only throw the food you have equipped, so make sure the newest food you own is the one in your hand before a lucky throw.
