How progression actually works
Two numbers matter: Throw Power (from your level) and your food tier. Power decides how far the food goes, and distance is what opens new zones. Food adds luck to the roll, so a better food makes rare variants and the zone's top animals far more common.
The pull-up bar decides how fast you gain levels. Every new bar gives more XP per rep, so the gap between bars is the main wall in the mid and late game. By the Harvest Fields you will often need two bar upgrades just to cross into the next zone.
The level cap is 1,592. At that point XP stops counting and your power is fixed (around 7,000 with a perfect throw), which is enough to reach the very end of the Nuclear Wasteland.

Which foods you can skip
You never have to buy every food. The shop lets you buy any food you can afford, and the newest food is always the one that matters. Good skips:
- Apple – go straight to Banana.
- Watermelon – Bread carries you into the Jungle, and Croissant is the next food that changes anything.
- Any food whose tier matches the one you already own, if the next tier is less than one bar upgrade away.
What you should not skip is a new tier right after you enter a new zone. That is when luck matters most, because every animal in the zone is new to you.
The three walls (and how to get past them)
- Crossing the Ocean (≈ 720–880 power). Your income from Jungle animals is fine, but levels slow down. Fix: buy the next bar as soon as possible and train with the bonus multipliers.
- Prehistoric → Deep Waters (≈ 1,850). Foods get expensive faster than your income. Fix: replace your whole base with Winter/Prehistoric animals first, then AFK on the bar.
- Harvest Fields → Nuclear Wasteland (≈ 4,900 → 6,600). The longest grind in the game. Fix: fill 20 slots with Ravens/Witch Cats, collect offline income, and only buy bars until you can see Phantom Harbor.
