Where to catch the Scarecrow

The Scarecrow lives in Harvest Fields (zone 15 of 17), in the front part of the zone. It is number 2 of 7 in the Harvest Fields index. A full-strength throw needs roughly 3,900 – 4,900 Throw Power to land in Harvest Fields.

Foods that land here: Golden Corn ($2.5Oc), Roast Turkey ($28Oc), Caramel Apple, Candy Corn (750 No). A higher-tier food pushes the roll toward the rarer end of the Harvest Fields list, so the newest food you own is always the best bait.

Any throw that lands in the front part of the zone can produce it. If you are hunting it for the index, lower your throw strength with the gear icon until the food lands on that spot – distance inside a zone decides which animals can come.

Is it worth keeping?

  • A plain Scarecrow earns 100000x a plain Cursed Owl, the best animal from Shadow Realm.
  • The first animal in Phantom Harbor, the Ghost, makes 20000x as much – once your throws reach Phantom Harbor, replace it.
  • Keep it longer only if it rolled a strong mutation or size (see the table below) or you need it for the index.

Scarecrow income by mutation and size

A plain Scarecrow makes $100Oc/s. Mutations and sizes multiply that number, and the two stack. The table below multiplies the plain income by the multipliers I have measured (Gold ×1.5, Diamond ×3, Emerald ×5, Ruby ×10, Rainbow ×20; Big ×2, Large ≈×4.3, Huge ≈×9, Colossal ≈×18.5, Gigantic ≈×37). Treat the size columns as estimates – real catches land a little above or below. With the 2x Cash gamepass every number doubles.

Scarecrow catches I've recorded

Real catch cards. Odds are the “1 in …” number the card shows, which already includes the luck of that throw.
